Break prepared fruit before pressing

Fruit crusher for extraction feed

A hopper-fed horizontal rotor breaks the prepared fruit into material suitable for the next extraction stage. Crusher selection starts with the physical feed and the mash needed by the press, keeping size reduction separate from juice-and-pomace separation.

Work the fruit inside an accessible crushing chamber

Fruit enters the upper hopper and meets the driven rotor. The open construction view shows serrated elements on a horizontal shaft and a curved perforated section beneath them. The prepared material leaves for transfer to pressing or another selected extraction operation.

Feed size and the material remaining after preparation affect how the crusher loads. Match the hopper and working arrangement to those conditions rather than selecting it from incoming whole-fruit tonnage alone.

PS series model references

These catalogue ratings describe a general fruit-crusher family. Confirm the selected model and prepared pineapple duty together with the required outlet condition. A model reference does not specify the juice recovery, the final juice flow or one universal mash particle size.

Set the crusher and press around the same material

The press needs an evenly supplied material that can release liquid while forming a manageable solids layer. Check crusher discharge consistency and the way the mash reaches the belt across the intended operating range.

Excessive accumulation between the machines adds handling and waiting time; an interrupted or uneven feed can leave the pressing section underloaded or locally overloaded. Coordinate the transfer arrangement and downstream-ready signals with both machines.

Retain access for rotor and screen inspection

The chamber cover creates a service opening for retained fibre and working-part inspection. Allow enough room to remove the cover and the specified internal components after the drive has been safely isolated.

Inspect the rotor elements, perforated section, sealing surfaces and discharge area using the supplied maintenance procedure. Rinsing the hopper is not a substitute for inspecting surfaces concealed inside the chamber.

Practical questions

Does the crusher replace a juice press?

The crusher prepares material by size reduction. The belt press then separates a juice stream from retained pomace. Their capacities and material interfaces should be selected together, while their product duties remain distinct.
