Equipment comparison · two different duties

Belt press or screen finisher?

The belt press recovers juice from prepared mash. The screened finisher handles the extracted stream to remove coarse fibre. A line can need both machines because they operate at different material boundaries.

Compare the material entering each machine

Crushing reduces prepared pineapple pieces to a mash that can be distributed across a press belt. Juice drains through the pressing path, while fibrous pomace leaves at a separate discharge.

The finisher receives the recovered juice stream. Sequential screened chambers separate coarse material from that stream; they should not be presented as another view of the belt press.

Match the two duties without using one capacity label

Prepared mash mass and extracted juice flow are different quantities. Preparation losses and pressing separation sit between fruit intake and the finisher feed, so copying one nominal capacity across all machines can conceal a mismatch.

Check feed distribution at the press, collected juice handling and the finisher inlet. Include pomace and retained-fibre removal so neither discharge becomes a production bottleneck.

Choose the purchase scope from the missing duty

If prepared fruit needs mechanical juice recovery, discuss the crusher-and-press interface. If extracted juice needs coarse-fibre control, discuss finishing. A clear-juice objective may introduce a further clarification duty after these stages.

Send the material condition and process position with the enquiry. Photographs of existing equipment can help explain the interfaces without assuming that two different machines are interchangeable.

Practical questions

Does the finisher replace the belt press?

It serves a different duty in this route: finishing the extracted stream rather than pressing the prepared mash. Select each machine for the material at its inlet.

Does screened juice mean clear juice?

No. Coarse-fibre finishing and clarification are separate requirements. The product sample and clarity objective determine whether additional clarification is needed.
